Marjorie Sue (Harris) Smith was born March 6, 1928 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to William Harmon and Verna (Payne) Harris. She passed from this life May 10, 2009 at the age of 81.
Marjorie graduated from Central High School and married Clinton Benjamin Smith, Jr. who preceded her in death Feb 23, 1994; her sister, Diane Jones; and her niece, Carolyn Hasbrook. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Shanks; her step-daughter, Valerie Richards; her sister, Reba Schaffner; her grandchildren, Samuel Shanks and Michelle Shanks; her step-grandchildren, Chris Richards and Evette Richards; and her great grandchildren, Pazleigh Shanks and Blaize Fuller.
Marjorie will lie in state Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Newkirk Cemetery, Newkirk, Oklahoma.
