Obituary of Beverly Phillips Williams

Beverly Williams was born October 14,1930 in Okmulgee, OK to Lewis Darrel and Mary Ellen (Bargassa) Phillips. She passed from this life Sunday, June 2, 2024 in Tulsa at the age of 93.

 

Beverly grew up and attended school in Bartlesville, OK. The oldest of three sisters, she attended The University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. There she met her future husband, Robert B. Williams.

 

Beverly and Bob made their home and raised their four children in Tulsa, where she was involved with Children’s Day Nursery, PEO, and Tulsa Antique Study Club. She had an antique business for many years with two of her closest friends. In addition to raising four kids and her civic involvement, Beverly enjoyed travelling the world with Bob, interior design, collecting antiques, gardening, and playing Bridge.

 

Beverly and her family were charter members of Kirk Of the Hills Presbyterian Church. Her faith began as a young child and she passed it on to her entire family.

 

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Suzanne and Cecille; and, her husband of 64 years, Robert Bretch Williams, M.D. She is survived by her four children, son, Robert Bretch Williams, Jr. and his wife, Leslie; daughters, Deborah Brauer, married to the late Paul Brauer, Katherine Ramm and her husband, Mark, and Marybeth Alley and her husband, Tom. Beverly is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel, Phillip and Matt Brauer, Natalie Ragula, Joe Ramm and Blake Alley, Ashton and Jon Prickett; and 15 great grandchildren!

 

A memorial service and celebration of Beverly’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Kirk Of The Hills.
